Armie Hammer, chiseled and Ken-doll-like in a crisp Gucci suit, is digging out his phone to show off pictures of his Welsh terrier, Archie. “I’m scrolling for the cutest picture of my dog on my phone.” The 6-foot-5 actor’s rich baritone adds comic effect as he scrolls through, showing off Archie wearing an orange sweater. A few minutes later, Chambers calls and asks whether he has fed the dog this morning. Now he’s apologizing profusely, his blue eyes wide. “Hi, hi, hi. No, I did not feed him. Sorry, I forgot.” He hangs up and offers up a rueful grin.

“We have a rule where we don’t spend more than a week apart at any time,” says Hammer, 25, who has been married to the television personality (and soon-to-be San Antonio bakery owner) since 2010. “We try to keep it down to three days.”
